Product description and typical applications
Fletcher Insulation™ VapaStop 883 is a flexible tough vapour barrier material consisting of bright aluminium foil extrusion laminated to a strong polyethylene reinforcing fabric.

VapaStop 883 is used widely in the manufacture of flexible air conditioning ductwork where high tear strength and puncture resistance are required in addition to a high degree of flexibility without delamination of the aluminium foil. The aluminium foil has a very low permeance to water vapour and other gases, which makes VapaStop 883 ideal for air handling ducting. It can be used as both the inner core as well as the outer sleeve around the insulation of the flexible air conditioning duct. VapaStop facings also provide excellent acoustic absorption without the need for perforation when applied to glass wool insulation blanket and boards. The inherent flexibility and tensile strength of VapaStop 883 also make it ideal for the manufacture of adhesive tapes. VapaStop 883 Tape is available from Fletcher Insulation™ .

Under metal roofs, VapaStop 883 will reduce the potential for condensation to occur, preventing water damage to the building fabric.
Designed for minimum product creasing, VapaStop 883 is compressed for storage and transport. When unrolled during installation VapaStop 883 returns to its optimum vapour barrier properties.
VapaStop 883 will provide an effective vapour barrier when overlapped and sealed with Fletcher Insulation™ VapaStop 883 self adhesive aluminium foil tape.
